The Installation process for Active Synchronisation is fairly simple. Insert the Pocket PC Companion CD in the CDROM drive and it will Automatically start.

The latest version of ActiveSync can also be found here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/default.mspx

For newer versions please use Windows Explorer to browse the CD and run the ACTIVESYNC setup.

Click the Gold Arrow

Click Start Here

Take Note of the messages on this page Do not have the Pocket LOOX connected at this stage click on install ActiveSync 3.5 to continue

click install

click OK

There is no need to save this file to the disk so click open

The Installation wizard is started, click next

Unless you have a particular reason for wanting to install the program somewhere else click next

Now is the time to connect and turn on your Pocket LOOX

You will get the new hardware found message from your computer, We found it best to allow the computer to install this first before continuing as it reduces confusion.

Once finished click Next

Choose the type of partnership you would prefer (we chose standard so that we can have the same details on both machines)

click next

The synchronize with this desktop computer is going to be the most likely choice here. Click Next

Choose the number of computers you are going to want to synchronize with and click next

Choose the files that you want to share by ticking the box's and click next

Click Finish

The status screen may appear before you click finish
