Recovery Procedure


3.	Installing the drivers using the supplied Drivers & Utilities CD
	1. Insert the CD-ROM titled 'Fujitsu Technology Solutions Drivers & Utilities CD' that came with the computer into the DVD tray and close it. 2. The Drivers & Utilities CD will start automatically. 3. Click on 'Driver Installation' option. 4. Click on INSTALL. 5. After the installation process the computer will automatically re-start. If not, for safety reasons (to not misinform/corrupt the information on the registry) restart the machine manually (Start Menu - Shut Down). If you receive a message saying 'Found New Hardware Wizard' during the Drivers installation (Automatic recommended), ignore it and leave the Drivers & Utility CD to finish the installation. The D+U Setup is will detect the computer's hardware (it will not detect the drivers of any external devices you may have) and install the drivers needed. After you re-boot the machine you may get the Found New Hardware Wizard again, this will be your Monitor being detected, follow the on-screen instructions to install it properly (if you have a driver's disk, provided with your monitor or any other external device that you have connected, use this when prompted)


4.	Performing a Microsoft Windows Update
	In this section you will install the required Updates from Microsoft's Update Web page. Note that the customer must have an Internet connection established to download the required updates. After establishing an Internet connection, you must go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com from the Internet Browser or Start Menu - Programs-Windows Update (link on the top of the Programs menu). After finishing the installation of the required updates, you must log on to the same web page again to check that there are no other updates left. To help prevent an attack from an outside source (WEB/Internet) on the computer and to enhanced the stability of the system, it is very important to install at least ALL the Critical Updates. Windows Updates should be used in addition to your virus software.
