| 21. | I have a B21xx with Touchscreen and Windows 2000. When I connect an external PS/2 wheelmouse the pointer is erratic whenever I touch the mouse. | ||||||||||
| Make sure that the PS/2 Port has been enabled in the BIOS, this is found in the Advanced Menu under Keyboard & Mouse Features. Start Windows 2000. Go to Device Manager and select the Fujitsu TouchPanel Properties (under Mouse and other pointing devices) then go to Advanced Settings change Wheel Detection to Detection Disabled. | 20. | When I connect my B2131 LifeBook to a Data Projector I can not get any picture through the Projector. | ||||||||||
| The B2131 uses a Chipset that has an advanced feature that allows two
monitors to be connected simultaneously. This has previously been controlled by the BIOS not the Video Chipset.
To get the Projector to work you need to go into Display Properties and enable the second Monitor. To this you
must specify a Monitor type, it is best to stick to a generic windows monitor, i.e. Standard SVGA. Once this is
done you can use the Fn + F10 key to get the laptop to switch between the two displays. For more detailed Instructions |

| 13. | I have a Socket on the Left Hand Side of my B2130 with a Picture of a Com Port on it, What is it for? (See Picture Below) | ||||||||||
| The Socket is known as a PDC, this is a standard used across the whole of Japan by all the different Mobile Phone Manufactures. In the UK they have yet to use this standard, so we provide a cable with the B142 that convert from PDC to Serial Port. If you want to use your mobile phone you will need to get the cable and data suite from your Phone Supplier. The cable should go from the manufacturers socket on the phone to a standard 9-Pin serial connector, which is either on the Connector block or the PDC Convertor Cable. | |||||||||||

| 10. | The Internal Modem on my B142 with Windows 98 starts to work and then the Connection stays open but no data is sent or received. It appears to be a very slow connection or drops the line? | ||||||||||
| You need to install the new audio drivers as there is a conflict between the Modem and the Audio Drivers both trying to use IRQ 9. To update the driver open display properties, view the properties of the ESSolo-1 PCI AudioDrive in the Sound, Video and Game Controller branch and update this driver. The system will find new hardware and prompt the user to restart the machine. Once this is complete you must shutdown windows and switch the LifeBook off using the main switch on the left hand side. When you switch the LifeBook back on the Audio will be using IRQ 5. You MUST switch it of using the main switch otherwise it doesn't move the IRQ's. To verify that it is all correct go to the properties of the ESSolo-1 PCI Audio Drive and the driver version will be 4.06.00.1129 and resources using IRQ 5. For the updated driver | |||||||||||
| 9. | When running Windows 98 or Windows 95 my B142 occasionally drops the infra-red connection? | ||||||||||
| This is due to the generic Win 95 or Win 98 drivers for IrDA are not reliable enough. Upgrade the standard Win 95 or Win 98 IrDA drivers with the version v2.28.0.0 | |||||||||||

| You need to reload Touchscreen Drivers. These will be located on you hard drive in c:\fujitsu\drivers\touch folder. | |||||||||||

| No, this is unsupported. | |||||||||||
| 6. | I am restoring the Software to my B110. I have Inserted the Utility CD and the Product Code KG7643M511E is not recognized? | ||||||||||
| The seventh Character (M) needs to be Changed to a (1). | |||||||||||
| 5. | The mouse cursor is moving without user touching it in Windows 98? | ||||||||||
| This "Mouse Pointer Drift" is a result of the mouse sensitivity. In order to keep the mouse so responsive, it must recalibrate itself from time to time, the default setting for this is three seconds inactivity, then it will recalibrate. This has been "improved" with the latest models, but has not been solved yet and the setting cannot be changed to other than three seconds. | |||||||||||

| You need to install the latest drivers, they will be on your hard drive under c:/Fujitsu/Win98/Drivers/video | |||||||||||
