| 2. | I have changed the screen resolution on my eLux thin client and now when I restart all I get is a "bash prompt" or the unit no longer boots. |
| In order to get back into the eLux/eLuxNG desktop, you will need to
perform a safeboot. This will boot the unit using the default screen settings that all monitors can
support and will then allow you to change the screen settings back. 1. Restart the Thin Client. 2. During the boot procedure, the supplier logo appears. Press the TAB key when the screen goes blank. 3.The eLux logo will be displayed, and then the prompt “Please enter admin password”. Enter the terminal password which should be “elux” by default, unless you have changed it. 4. At the prompt “factory reset (y/n)?” type n. You should now be able to access eLux and make changes to settings in a mode that is safe for the monitor. 5. Restart the Thin Client to exit Safe Boot mode. |
